“Barack Obama attacks Trump administration’s response to coronavirus pandemic”
The Guardian
By: Jessica Glenza, May 17, 2020
During a speech to graduating students from historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), Barack Obama took the opportunity to point out Trump’s mishandling of the Coronavirus pandemic. “More than anything, this pandemic has fully, finally torn back the curtain on the idea that so many of the folks in charge know what they’re doing. A lot of them aren’t even pretending to be in charge,”
Barack Obama said, “Doing what feels good, what’s convenient, what’s easy — that’s how little kids think, … Unfortunately, a lot of so-called grown-ups, including some with fancy titles and important jobs, still think that way — which is why things are so screwed up. … I hope that instead, you decide to ground yourself in values that last, like honesty, hard work, responsibility, fairness, generosity, respect for others.”

“‘Art Of The Deal’ Co-Author Spells Out Why Coronavirus Deaths ‘Don’t Matter’ To Trump”
Huffington Post
By: Lee Moran, May 16, 2020
“Donald Trump’s former ghostwriter declared Friday that the president really doesn’t care about the deaths resulting from the coronavirus pandemic because he has ‘no conscience’ and is solely motivated by the need to dominate. ‘I’ve always assumed like most people have that the primary motivation is to be loved and admired and recognized and praised,’ said Schwartz. ‘That is a motivation but the deeper motivation is domination, is to win. And that is a function of the fact that he has no conscience.’”

“‘If Trump had been in charge during World War II, this column would be in German”
The Washington Post
By: Max Boot, May 15, 2020
“Picture the scene a few months after Pearl Harbor. The first U.S. troops have arrived in England, and the Doolittle raiders have bombed Tokyo. But even though the war has just begun, the Trumpified FDR is already losing interest. One day he says the war is already won; the next day that we will just have to accept the occupation of France because that’s the way life is. He speculates that mobilization might be unnecessary if we can develop a ‘death ray’ straight out of a Buck Rogers comic strip.”
The weirdness never stops. It’s a hoax, there are 15 infected now it will be none soon, inject bleach, I’m taking hydroxychloroquine, etc.
Max Boot, the author of this article, was formally a member of the GOP. He left the party after Trump’s 2016 election victory.

“‘Trump’s marks for handling COVID-19 outbreak decline — CBS News poll“
CBS News
By: Kabir Khanna, Fred Backus, May 14, 2020
Most Americans continue to say they trust medical professionals for virus information. Republicans bizarrely rank President Trump for trustworthiness equal to the medical professionals. ”And Dr. Anthony Fauci is trusted by most and viewed favorably by a three-to-one margin, but he now draws split opinions among Republicans, driven by increasingly negative views from conservatives.” I think this proves that the Republicans are more driven by partisan politics and the conservative new media like Fox.
“Views of President Trump’s handling of the outbreak continue to drop from March and are now the lowest he has received. Today, 43% say he’s doing a good job, 5 points lower than three weeks ago and 10 points lower than in March.” Governors generally receive high marks for their management of the Coronavirus pandemic. There are a lot of interesting statistics in this article.

“‘King Trump decrees that he will decide when states reopen, sowing confusion—which is the point“
Idaho Mountain Express
By: Rex Huppke, April 17, 2020
This article reveals the President saying he makes the decision to ’open up the economy’ while at the same time saying it’s the Governor’s decision when to ‘open up the economy’. It is with such self-contradictory language that the President hopes to shield himself from the outcome. If the virus spikes opening up was the Governor’s decision and if it doesn’t it was his leadership that brought success.
“This took some in the ‘Fake News Media’ by surprise, presumably because they have foolishly read the Constitution and listened to previous things the president has said about governors being wholly responsible for responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. It’s the classic Fake News Media scam of ‘remembering things that happened in the past’ instead of ‘lacking object permanence and existing only in the moment.’ As a public service, allow me to clear up a few facts regarding President Trump and the role U.S. governors play in coronavirus-related decisions. First, governors are totally responsible for their states, and anything that has gone wrong in any state with regard to the coronavirus outbreak is the fault of the governor, not President Trump. The president has no authority to tell states what to do. Second, President Trump has absolute authority to tell states what to do. When the president decides it’s time to ‘open up’ the states and get the economy rolling, he will order it done and the states will comply.”
If sarcasm is your thing, this article is for you!
