At a press conference on January 20, 2017, before his inauguration, Trump promised to separate himself from his businesses and said he would not pursue foreign deals during his presidency. He still has not divested himself from his businesses.
Trump denies the involvement of crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in the murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. At the same time, it’s been reported he has numerous business deals, worth millions, with Saudi investors and the government as well. The Saudi crown prince and Saudi lobbyists are known to have frequented the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC which helped boost the hotels quarterly revenue by 13 percent.

Trump spends taxpayer money at Trump resorts.
“Trump has spent nearly a third of his time in office at a property owned, managed or branded by the Trump Organization – even directing missile strikes from and meeting heads of state at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.”
“In all, he’s spent at least [360 days] visiting at least one of these resorts, golf clubs or properties, and these numbers keep rising. His golf trips alone have cost US taxpayers at least [$134 million], including Air Force One flights and security costs.”
